Chumash is located 32 miles north of Santa Barbara off high- way 135. Santa Ynez is 15 miles from the California coast. It is close to Santa Barbara, a city with coastal charm, and the the Santa Ynez Mountains. There are parks and museums, and in June and July the summer sports festival is very entertaining, with competition in some 50 water sports. The Los Padres National Forest provides fishing and hiking, as well as horse- back riding. For information, call 805-963-3564. This is a lovely area.
