First ever Las Vegas-style slots coming to Florida
Broward County voters approved the new slots in March.
They will be at the Mardi Gras race track and gaming center in Hallandale Beach.
Officials there say they hope to have the machines running by mid-November.

Gambling law spurs dropping of dividend
PartyGaming, the world’s biggest internet gambling firm, said that it had decided to cancel the interim dividend of three cents a share that was due to be paid on October 31 in order to spend the money — a total of $120 million (£64 million) — on acquisitions.
